The Reboli Center for Art & History is proud to present the works of The Setauket Artists in the Setauket Artists Exhibition. With over 30 participating artists, this vibrant show filled with local scenes and beyond will inspire visitors of all ages. As always, our exhibitions are free to the public and no reservations are required to attend during our regular business hours: Tuesdays - Saturdays 11am - 5pm, Sundays 1pm - 5pm.
In our Englebright gallery, where we traditionally offer historic displays and sub-exhibitions, we will be focusing on the life and work of the late Irene Ruddock, an avid community member, the former President of The Setauket Artists, an incredibly talented artist, and a beloved friend.
The Setauket Artists were founded 39 years ago by popular, local artist Flo Kemp. Eventually, Irene Ruddock was passed the torch of coordinating and empowering this skillful and prolific group. The Setauket Artist group can essentially be described as a group of professional artists from all over Long Island, who delight particularly in painting local landscapes and moments that reflect the natural beauty of the island. The artists wish to create art in a variety of styles; modern impressionistic, realistic, and contemporary works that each display their diversity in subject and technique.
