THIRD FRIDAY | Projected Viewing of Short Film 'Betsy's World' followed by a Talk with Justin Speers

  • The Reboli Center for Art and History 64 Main Street Stony Brook, NY, 11790 (map)

Join us at The Reboli Center for our Next Third Friday Feature… A projected viewing of Betsy's World, directed by Sam Brosnan, and produced by the Farnsworth Art Museum.

Friday, March 17th, 2023 | 6:30pm - 7:30pm | Free to Attend

Betsy’s World shines a new light on Andrew Wyeth’s greatest works, which owe their very existence to Betsy’s vision. Shot in the rooms, fields, and private islands that have served as subject, muse, and home to the Wyeths, and featuring rare interviews with both Wyeth sons, Jamie and Nicky, this documentary short will show you that art is bigger than the person holding the paintbrush.

The viewing will be followed by a live talk with currently exhibiting artist, Justin Speers, who will be connecting with us over ZOOM. Speers will be projected onto the wall, connecting with us from his hometown in PA, and will share with us in real time about his art and his inspirations. The audience may ask questions at the end of his talk.

Light snacks and refreshments will be served. Please R.S.V.P if you plan to attend!
