The Merrick Library has been serving Merrick, NY, on Long Island’s South Shore, since 1891. They are a public library chartered by the State University of New York to serve all residents of the Merrick Union Free School District, though anyone is welcome to visit. The Merrick Library provides free-of-charge books and other materials, literacy instruction, research and support, lectures and other educational programming, technology training, career development, entertainment, community meeting and gathering space, and other services supporting our mission of lifelong learning and community empowerment. Stop by The Merrick Library during the month of January, 2025 to view an exhibition of Joseph Reboli’s work in archival giclee reproductions provided by The Reboli Center for Art & History. Summer hours begin Memorial Day weekend:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Sunday: Closed

Fall hours begin after Labor Day:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.
