The Reboli Center for Art and History is delighted to announce Alan Winick and his innovative creations, Tidepieces, as the returning Feature Artisan of the Month for November 2025, and as our Guest Speaker for November’s Third Friday Special! Please join us for a Presentation by WInick on November 21st, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Refreshments will be served, free to attend, no R.S.V.P required!
Winick will offer guests a unique opportunity to learn about his artistic journey and life’s work. He will speak about his connection to the sea, which began in childhood on the Brooklyn waterfront. Inspired by The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, he spent countless hours exploring, inventing, and experimenting at the end of the pier in Sheepshead Bay. By the age of fifteen, he had already built a one-man wooden submarine in his parents’ apartment — an early testament to his inventive spirit and lifelong fascination with the ocean. His work continues that passion, transforming the rhythms of the tides into mesmerizing art that reflects the natural world and the forces that shape it.
We hope you will join us for this Third Friday special on November 21st, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. After Winick’s presentation, guests will have the opportunity for a Q&A and to view his pieces on exhibition. Doors open at 6:00pm, and seating will be first-come, first-served. Refreshments will be served — think shrimp cocktail, fruits, cheeses, and pastries.
We look forward to seeing you at this free and family-friendly event!
