Ruth Power of DANU Ceramics
This February, The Reboli Center for Art and History is thrilled to showcase the beautiful ceramic jewelry of Ruth Power, the creator behind DANU Ceramics, as our Featured Artisan of the Month. Power, based in Dublin, Ireland, is known for her stunning handcrafted jewelry that blends timeless elegance with the unique qualities of nature and the human touch. Since establishing DANU Ceramics in 2015, Power has dedicated herself to creating pieces that are as individual as the people who wear them.
Each of Power’s ceramic jewelry pieces is a one-of-a-kind creation, carefully crafted using a variety of techniques such as hand-building, glass fusion, and slab work. What makes Power’s designs truly special is her use of precious materials like 22k gold and mother of pearl, combined with her commitment to sustainability and ethical craftsmanship. Every piece is an expression of Power’s belief in the beauty of imperfections, a philosophy she embraces through the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi—finding elegance in simplicity, rusticity, and the quirks of handmade objects. These elements come together in pieces that feel both timeless and modern, perfect for those seeking something unique.
“I design and create each piece using a wide range of techniques like hand-building, glass fusion and slab-work. I love experimenting with different clays, glazes and materials, such as 22k gold, mother of pearl and glass. No piece is ever identical.”

In addition to her own handmade pieces, Power has expanded her collection to include ethically sourced items from artisans across the globe. From gold and lapis jewelry from Afghanistan to glass beads from Ghana, Power’s passion for supporting global artisans is evident in her work. Each piece tells a story of craftsmanship and culture, making her collection not just jewelry, but meaningful tokens of artistry and connection.
Throughout the month of February 2025 and beyond, Power’s beautiful ceramic jewelry will be featured at The Reboli Center, offering visitors a chance to explore her work and perhaps even find the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. Power’s pieces make for ideal gifts, with their delicate beauty and intimate connection to nature and craftsmanship. The Reboli Center’s Director shared, “Ruth’s jewelry is truly special. They’re not just lovely little keepsakes; they’re each individual moments of love—perfect for any occasion when you want to give something that’s as unique as the person receiving it..”
