The Reboli Center is proud to present an Emerging Artist Spotlight featuring the work of Michelle Kramer, a Long Island-based artist whose creativity spans both traditional and digital mediums. A gifted painter and animator, Michelle has exhibited her work at notable venues such as the Mills Pond House, Gallery North, the William Ris Gallery, and more.
Michelle’s art blurs the line between the representational and the abstract, offering bold visual storytelling enriched with multicultural themes and vibrant color palettes. Her paintings often incorporate found objects and elements of collage, creating layered, tactile compositions that invite close inspection. Whether drawing from overlooked landscapes or everyday moments, her work elevates the ordinary into the extraordinary, challenging viewers to find beauty in the unexpected.
Michelle mentions that often, her the landscapes featured in her works are ‘the kinds of places we pass by without looking’. Unconventional places perhaps, but worth a second look, telling stories about memory, neglect, renewal.
In addition to her studio practice, Michelle is an accomplished animator and illustrator, with credits that include CBS, Scholastic, Method Studios, Cartuna, The Hospital for Special Surgery and SHARE Cancer Support!
Michelle Kramer's work will be on view as part of the Emerging Artists Spotlight from May through June, 2025, in The Reboli Center’s Design Shop. You won’t want to miss out on this special opportunity.
