January 6 – February 15, 2026

Joseph Reboli, (1945–2004)

The Reboli Center for Art & History is delighted to present Sea to Shining Sea, a captivating solo exhibition showcasing the work of acclaimed American realist painter, Joseph Reboli. This special exhibition celebrates Reboli’s artistic journey across the United States, featuring oil paintings and watercolors inspired by the varied landscapes and cityscapes that stretch from the Pacific to the Atlantic.

Reboli, whose legacy is central to the mission of the Reboli Center, was renowned for his luminous depictions of place, capturing both the quiet poetry of everyday scenes and the expansive beauty of diverse environments. Born in Port Jefferson and deeply rooted in the landscapes of Long Island, he earned national and international recognition throughout his career with more than 20 solo exhibitions and works held in private and public collections nationwide.

Sea to Shining Sea brings together a remarkable range of Reboli’s works. Highlights will include original oil and giclee reproduction selections from The Reboli Center’s permanent collection, complemented by on-loan pieces from private collectors, as well as exceptional works available for purchase directly from private lenders. Together, these pieces illustrate Reboli’s keen ability to transform the familiar into the extraordinary through masterful use of oil and watercolor.

As with all exhibitions at the Reboli Center, this show is free for public viewing during regular business hours. In addition, our Englebright Gallery (formerly known as the History Room) will feature a focused sub-exhibition titled Who Is Joseph Reboli?… This immersive presentation invites guests to discover the life, influences, and enduring impact of Joe Reboli, enhancing appreciation for his art and his artistic legacy.

We invite art lovers, students, and the community to join us in celebrating the breadth of Reboli’s vision and to explore the rich stories told through his art!
