The Reboli Center for Art and History Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary with “PAINT THE TOWN!” a Plein Air Painting Day & Summer Exhibition.
The Reboli Center for Art and History is proud to celebrate its 10-year anniversary with PAINT THE TOWN!, a special Plein Air Painting Day taking place on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, May 17th, same time).
This vibrant outdoor event will feature more than 30 invited artists painting en plein air at two picturesque locations: Stony Brook Harbor and the historic Gamecock Cottage at West Meadow Beach. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to watch artists at work as they bring stunning landscape paintings to life throughout the day.
PAINT THE TOWN! was thoughtfully conceived and organized by Reboli Center President, Lois Reboli and The Reboli Center team, in honor of Joseph Reboli, celebrating his artistic legacy and deep connection to the local landscape that continues to inspire generations of artists today.
The public is warmly invited to attend and enjoy a variety of free activities, including:
Rare interior tours of the Gamecock Cottage
Guided nature tours at West Meadow Beach
Historic walking tours of Stony Brook Village
Light refreshments served at The Reboli Center
*This special access to the Gamecock Cottage has been made possible through the generous support of the Brookhaven Legislature, offering a unique and memorable experience for both residents and visitors.
*The artwork created during PAINT THE TOWN! will be featured in a follow-up exhibition on view at the Reboli Center from June 2 through July 12, 2026, celebrating the beauty of the local landscape and the talent of participating artists.
*As part of the anniversary celebration, the Reboli Center will also host a 10-Year Anniversary Cocktail Gala Fundraiser on June 27, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Open to the public, this ticketed event ($125 per person) will offer an elegant indoor and outdoor evening featuring fine cuisine, wine and champagne, live music, dancing, raffle baskets, and special awards. Proceeds from the gala will directly support the Center’s mission to provide accessible art exhibitions and historic education to the community.
For ten years, the Reboli Center for Art and History has been dedicated to enriching the cultural fabric of the community through art and history. PAINT THE TOWN! and the anniversary gala promise to be memorable celebrations of that legacy and an exciting step forward into the future.
