BANKING ON REBOLI

  • The Reboli Center for Art and History 64 Main Street Stony Brook, NY, 11790 (map)

Joseph Reboli, Storm Watch (1987), oil on canvas, 44” x 64”, gift of William Schaffel, NFS

This autumn, The Reboli Center is celebrating SIX YEARS of existing as a certified not-for-profit, open for public enjoyment in the historic heart of Stony Brook.

For over a decade, we have been working diligently to carry on the legacy that Joseph Reboli left behind, a body of over 3,000 artworks that reveal inspiring talent and unmistakable touches of light. In 2016 we opened our doors to the public, finally able to share Joe’s works with the community in the most appropriate setting we could have ever dreamed of. We've also been hard at work developing our Center as a place for contemporary artists to showcase and expand which has aided in the affirmation of Stony Brook as a cultural hub for the arts.

Celebrate with us by enjoying this solo show in honor of Joe and his remarkable talent and community ties. Banking on Reboli will feature solely the artworks of Joseph Reboli. How fitting, just in time for Joe's favorite holiday, Halloween!

The theme continues in our history room where visitors will have the opportunity to learn a bit more about the history Joseph Reboli, his family and the history of The Reboli Center building: The former Bank of Suffolk County which was founded in 1912.
