Students will be introduced to painting techniques in oil, acrylic, and other media by instructor Kyle Blumenthal, MFA, MA, BFA. Blumenthal will walk students through the exploration of perceptions of light, shadow, and color and the rendering of these elements. This workshop will include an introduction to basic concepts and procedures, incorporating controlled experimentation and a broad focus in color, along with harmonies. Perceptual expansion and internally generated imagery based on life studies will provide the subject matter.
