The Landcraft Garden Foundation (LGF) is a private garden located in Mattituck, NY that is open to the public every Friday and Saturday from May 2023 through October 2023.

Historic Presentation with Jamie Holloway

Dennis Schrader and Bill Smith started the garden when they moved to Mattituck in 1992 to start Landcraft Environments, a wholesale plant nursery that specializes in tropical plants and annuals that are out of the ordinary. Over the past thirty years the garden has grown to over four acres, plus several additional acres that include a labyrinth and woodland trails.

Jamie Holloway manages the Shop in the Garden and is the Volunteer Coordinator at LGF. Holloway moved from NYC to the south shore of Long Island in 1999, where he discovered his love of gardens and gardening. Holloway joined the LGF in 2021 after retiring from his corporate job in NYC after 30+ years. Holloway is generally at the garden entrance on most open days.

On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, Jamie Holloway will be visiting the Center to give an educational presentation on the interesting and intricate history of The Landcraft Garden Foundation. Guests will enjoy light snacks and refreshments along with the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Doors will open for this special event no earlier than 5:30pm. No reservations are required to attend, seating will be first come, first serve.
