Emerging Artist Spotlight | Linda Hartman

We are excited to introduce our audience to Linda Hartman, a distinguished Long Island artist and our featured Emerging Artist for May and June of 2026. Hartman’s exceptional talent in acrylic painting and fiber art has captivated art enthusiasts, collectors, and curators across the region. After a long and impactful career as an art educator, she is now fully immersed in her own creative practice, bringing her vision and expertise to a wider audience.

Hartman’s work spans from acrylic paintings on white and natural linen canvases to low-relief fiber sculptures that explore the colors and textures of her environment. Her art invites viewers to engage with the natural world in a tactile and immersive way, whether through the vibrancy of her paint or the physical presence of her fiber pieces. Her observations of local birds, marshes, beaches, and the sweeping skies of the East End of Long Island inspire compositions that transport the audience into the very spaces she cherishes.

Linda has shared her work widely, participating in outdoor art shows in Westhampton, Southampton, and the Setauket area, as well as exhibiting in galleries across Long Island, including ST. James, Sayville, Dix Hills, and Riverhead. Her work has also been featured at the Water Mill Museum, Bayard Cutting Arboretum, and Borghese Vineyards. Each piece reflects her lifelong connection to Long Island, her travels, and her continual experimentation with materials and color to create a sensory experience for the viewer.

Linda Hartman is an artist whose career continues to evolve, her dedication to her craft and her keen eye for nature’s details making her a compelling presence in the local art scene. We are honored to showcase her work at The Reboli Center this May and June and look forward to seeing how her journey unfolds as she continues to grow, explore, and inspire.
