The Reboli Center for Art and History is pleased to announce Genevieve Rochlin as our featured artist for the November 2026 Emerging Artist Spotlight, celebrating her evolving artistic voice and unique perspective on art, culture, and the human experience.
A senior at The Stony Brook School, Genevieve returns to the Center for her second exhibition, bringing a lifelong passion for painting and illustration shaped by her upbringing on Long Island’s North Shore. Inspired by the coastline, her travels, and her interest in cultures around the world, Genevieve uses visual storytelling to explore connections between people, places, and shared experiences.
Her creative interests extend beyond the canvas. Genevieve illustrated Seven Meals Around the World, a children’s book created for the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library that celebrates global traditions, food, and cultural heritage. Growing up in an immigrant family has also influenced her artistic perspective, inspiring her to use art as a means of personal expression and a way to bridge cultural differences.
Having studied under artists Mary Jane Van Zeijtz and Dr. Diane Barthel-Bouchier, Genevieve continues to refine her artistic practice. Her paintings have been exhibited in local galleries, and her work was selected as a finalist for an exhibition commemorating America’s 250th anniversary.
Through its Emerging Artist Spotlight, The REBOLI Center for Art and History highlights promising creative voices and provides an opportunity for the community to discover the perspectives shaping the next generation of artists. The Center is delighted to welcome Genevieve back and showcase her continued growth and creativity throughout November 2026.
