Join us at The Reboli Center for Art & History on Third Friday for an educational talk with NYS Assemblyman, Steve Englebright.
August 18th, 2023
6:30 - 8:00pm
"A Sense of Place"
Nature, Joe Reboli's Landscapes and New England
Joseph Reboli's attraction to beautiful Long Island landforms and vistas caused him to memorialize the iconic sites that help define our communities. His paintings reinforce how important these places are, why they are worth preserving, and invite us to learn more about them.
This talk is geologist Steve Englebright's look at some of Joe Reboli's local landscape subjects. It includes a description of the natural processes that created these sites, threats they now face, and conservation initiatives that may enable them to continue as indelible aspects of our regional and community identities.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served for your enjoyment. After the talk concludes, guest will have the opportunity to ask questions about the topics covered. This event is free and open to the public. Doors will open no earlier than 6pm to allow our staff time to set up. Please contact us with any questions: 631-751-7707.
We look forward to seeing your there!
