We’re delighted to feature Jodi Stills as our returning Artisan of the Month for October of 2025! Being a military spouse, Jodi Still traveled a lot and lived in many places. One home was on a small farm, where a family of mice also took up residence in the chicken coop. According to Jodi, “I was fascinated with the little creatures. About 12 years ago, I brought a colony of mice to life in several children’s stories. It was then that I started to create and make the felt mice. I decorate some according to the season and others are engaged in activities that humans also perform.”
Jodi has a bachelor’s in design from Buffalo State College. That proved to be an asset in creating A Mouse in the House, her collection of felt mice and ornaments. She became so enthralled with working with mice that she is planning to publish her first book about the ones she has created, as well do her own watercolor illustrations. Jodi lived for a time in Manhattan, NY, working as a city paramedic, attending graduate school at John Jay College.
Now living in Colorado, Jodi is still creating mice and working with The Reboli Center to exhibit and sell these tiny, whimsical treasures which have become a consistent favorite among our shoppers. Each mouse is full of charm, personality, and playful character, showcasing Jodi’s meticulous craftsmanship and patient attention to detail.
After being out of stock for some time, her delightful creations are finally back and available in our Design Shop for viewing and purchase through the holiday season, but they tend to sell quickly, so collectors are encouraged to act fast. As Reboli Center Director notes, “Jodi’s mice are not only endearing and imaginative, they reveal the care and skill behind every tiny stitch.” Don’t miss the chance to bring a touch of Jodi’s enchanting miniature world into your home!
